Mama Said

The older you get , the more you realize how relevant it was for the authority figures in your life to "nag". As a child , your innocence guide you more than reality. There are so many things that you didn't pay attention to then , that literally replays it self in your mind when your approached with it as an adult. I know my mom always yelled at me over the dumbest things (at least I thought) ; But now , I cannot thank her enough!!!!

That voice still nags me to this day , the difference is I take heed to it more rather than brushing it off. Without guidance or redirection your bound to never be found because you'll live in the dark. That dark that you believe is light. Everything that my mom ever told me about life was to steer me into the right direction. I may not have listened then , but do believe as an adult, the things I thought were minor are H U G E . Like seriously?! Who would have thought that kissing do really get you pregnant!!!!!(LOL TRUST ME , I HAVE BEEN KISSED TWICE). So those strict , annoying , nagging parents that gets on your ever lasting nerves now , will be your hero when your an adult. Restriction creates morality and respect , something that these new generations lack. My mama raised me old school , and though I didn't understand it then I couldn't be more grateful for it now. You never realize how important it is to listen to what "mama said"or any authority figure until your an adult and your the one who's doing the "unnecessary nagging"; but hey , better late than never right?
